This is an example of a Google Search Story, which is a tool that allows a user to create a video that uses a character’s Google searches to tell a story. My story focuses on things that the fictional Alice may have searched if she was planning a vacation in Wonderland.

I have been having issues with the images in this video, but I will continue to attempt to fix it.

Here is a Glog that I made on Glogster.com.  A glog is like a virtual poster - it has everything that a poster has, plus audio and video capabilities, and allows easy insertion of frames, stickers, and captions.

I made this podcast to talk about how experiences I’ve had in life that may seem to be unrelated to librarianship will actually translate well into a job in a school library media center.  For this talk, I focused on my years of work in retail, and about five things I learned there that I think would be useful for anybody in a school library to know:

Thing 1 - Be friendly and inviting.

Thing 2 - Be proactive - make a sale!

Thing 3 - It’s not a bad thing to admit you don’t have a ready answer.

Thing 4 - Put things on display.

Thing 5 - Make them want to come back.

The music used is from “Life Line” by Two Spot Gobi, off the “Demo Days” album, which you can buy at the iTunes store here:

This a VoiceThread that I made with 5 booktalks for upper-elementary to middle school-aged students.

This is a Prezi that briefly introduces the concept Open Source and gives some examples of software and Open Source culture.
